I just got a job at State Farm. How much commissions do insurance agents make off policies? Like auto & life?

Upon getting this position with State Farm, you should have already been informed about commission. You must have a booklet also stating the breakdown.
Just remember, selling insurance is not an easy task. You need a constant endless army of potential customers, or there will be no commission.

If you are an agent at State Farm, why would you accept a position in which you do not know the commission? I suggest you contact the marketing department. The auto will vary by standard and non-standard and the life commissions, while loaded up front, will vary by the type of contract. If you are a CSR, you should still be able to get this information from the marketing department. They should have a schedule they can send you.
