If auto insurance claim is canceled, will Carfax still reflect the incident on the car’s report?

My car got rear-ended and the claims rep from the insurance company determined that I was not at fault. The guy who rear-ended me however, is uninsured. I am covered under “Collision” for the accident, after paying a deductible of $500 though. The damage is not much. I was wondering, if I were to cancel the claim now after vehicle inspection, will the incident still appear on my Carfax report? I know the insurance company will input the information to ISO, even if claim is canceled. So, will Carfax be able to pull the incident info from there? The damage was not much, just need to replace the bumper cover, so was wondering…

Thanks.
Btw, my car is ‘08 Honda Civic Coupe.

Very few insurance companies provide data to Carfax. Check out this page http://www.carfax.com/about/data_sources.cfx. Insurance companies report on total losses and thefts. Now, if there was a police report than the data is likely to show up on Carfax.
