If you are in a car accident and is not at fault, use if you are not insured?

Long story short  I was rear ended on the highway. The driver was charged with careless driving. I learned later on that day I called my broker, my husband (separated) had not paid insurance premiums over a long period, I had gone for almost a year on the cancellation policy. I called the pilot’s fault insurance and she told me that I go through my own insurance. I told them I was not insured and I would directly deal with them. They said if I can not not an insurance policy, I argue against them. Am I entitled?

The only state I know that you are safe, a claim against another party in Louisiana to do. When the accident occurred in another state, go back to the insurance company. You probably have a representative who does not know what they have to talk
If you speak to a claim for injury, is another story, there are some states do not allow insurance coverage for damages if you are not insured.
